SooZoo Limited T/A SK Canine Fitness and Rehabilitation Centre Terms and conditions for hydrotherapy and physiotherapy.

 

1. Please arrive 10 minutes before your hydrotherapy/physiotherapy appointment time to give your pet a chance to go to the toilet prior to their appointment. Please clean up after your pet.

2. If your pet defecates in the pool/treadmill, we reserve the right to add a cleaning charge of £50 as the pool/treadmill will be closed for thorough cleaning.

3. If you arrive up to 10 minutes late for your appointment your pet’s treatment time may be reduced accordingly. If you are over 10 minutes late, we may not be able to accommodate your appointment, however the full session charge will still apply.

4. We require 48 hours’ notice of cancellation, or the appointment will be charged in full.

5. The therapist will assess your pet each time they see them, prior to the session. The length of session will vary, depending on their age, breed, fitness level, health condition and other factors. The session time includes pre- and post-shower and drying.

6. A Veterinary Consent Form must be completed, signed by your vet and returned to us prior to your pet undergoing any treatment.

7. You must inform us of any changes to your pet’s health or medication since completion of the Veterinary Consent Form so we can take this into consideration, as a new form maybe required.  Certain conditions, such as ear, eye or skin infections or gastric upset may be exacerbated by the disinfectant used in the water. If you are in any doubt of the health of your pet, please contact the centre with at least 48hrs notice. Normal cancellation conditions will apply if sufficient notice is not given.

8. You must make the therapist fully aware of any handling issues/likes/dislikes your pet may have so we can safeguard our staff and your pet.

9. We shall not be liable for any injury or damage caused to your pet during a hydrotherapy/physiotherapy session, including but not limited to any claim arising from any condition of your pet that is either known or unknown to us, other than in respect of any injury or damage arising as a result of negligence.

10. Bitches in season should NOT attend their therapy session.

11. We recommend that your dog is fully vaccinated (or routinely titre tested) against Leptospirosis, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, and Canine Parvovirus. Whilst we make every effort to ensure hygiene and infection control processes are in place, we are unable to guarantee that there will be no cross- contamination and will not be held liable for any such cross-contamination. You may wish to consider vaccinating your dog against kennel cough.

12. Please allow at least 48 hours before and after your pet’s session to apply topical flea or worming treatment to your pet, otherwise the water will wash away the treatment and thus make it ineffective

13. We reserve the right to cancel or change any session due to unforeseen circumstances such as a defecating incident, power failure, maintenance or illness. We will do our upmost to contact you as soon as possible if such matter occurs.

14. All therapy treatments must be paid in full, at the time of the session. Invoices can be provided for insurance purposes.

15. When visiting our centre, you are advised to wear clean non-slip shoes and sensible clothing as the pool/treadmill areas can become very slippery and wet during your pet’s session. We shall not be liable for any slips, trips or falls , other than as a result of negligence.

16. We cannot be held responsible for any loss or injury to any person or animal whilst on our premises. Additionally, we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to vehicles or personal property whilst on the centre’s premises.

17. Smoking is not permitted on site.

18. Please be respectful by ensuring your pet is clean. If your pet is excessively dirty their session may be forfeited (full payment still required) to ensure the water safety for other patients.

19. When your pet is not undergoing treatment but is on our premises, they must be kept on a lead. If your pet is unable to wear a lead/collar/harness because of their condition, please inform us in advance of your visit.

  1. In accordance with the law if your pet is a banned breed type, they need to be on a lead and muzzled prior to exiting your vehicle.

21. If your pet requires assistance getting into the centre due to a medical condition, please notify us so we can help.

22. Car parking on site is solely for the duration of your hydrotherapy/physiotherapy appointment time. We ask that you park considerately.

  1. CCTV is in operation (see data protection) and operated in accordance with government guidelines.
  2. Therapists are trained in animal first and the centre manager is also trained in human first aid. Any accidents relating to a human being need to be recorded in the accident book onsite.
  3. RAW dog food is sold on the premises. Please notify us if you/your dog have any severe allergies.
  4. In the event of a fire please follow instructions from your therapist. Leave the centre at your nearest exit and assemble on the grass verge at the front of the property.
  5. Class IV laser is used on site. PPE will be provided when in use. Do not enter a room until the therapist has invited you in to ensure everyone’s safety.

28. We will not accept rude or intimidating behaviour and reserve the right to refuse treatment to your pet and to require you to leave the premises. All visitors must comply with all instructions given by our staff.

29. It’s advised to only bring the pet that is being treated to the appointment. Please do not leave any animal unattended in a parked car. You are welcome to leave your pet with the therapist while you go offsite to attend to other pets.

30. Please specify to a member of staff if you do not wish for photos or video footage of your pet to be used on our social media channels or website.

31. We may change or update these terms and conditions at any time.

32. These terms and conditions are governed by English law and any disputes arising in connection with them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
